DETROIT TURF NOTES T -4 E. Mottj a valet, received a severe cut on his left leg when kicked by ONan, which he was saddling for her engagement in the first race Friday. Apprentice V. Neal, who suffered a broken collar bone when Gay Streamer fell with him here several days ago, was at the track Saturday. For coming over too sharply after the start of the fifth race Friday, jockey R, Wholey was suspended for five days. G. De La Cerda arrived from Cuba with the Chilean-bred Salteo, I Novotny and Tomfoolery. W. Zakoor returned from Toronto, where he has been visiting for the past several days. Webb Everett is distributing stake blanks for the Washington Park meeting. Horace Wade, who handles the public address system at Narragansett Park, is here distributing stake blanks for the summer meeting at that track. Dr. J. H. ODonnell applied the firing irons to Busy- Jane and Babuska. They are the property of G. E. Lewis.
