I LAT0N1A TURF NOTES ;f - ! . Jockey Bob Fihnerty was hit in the left eye with a clpd during Fridays racing at Latonia. The injury, hbwever, was not sufficient to keep him from fulfilling his engagements Saturday afternoon. Dr. F. H. Roister, veterinarian representing the Kentucky racing commission, spent the week-end with his family in Louisville where he makes his home. Word was received here from Lexington, Ky., that the members of the Thoroughbred Club of America will hold a meeting and luncheon Saturday, June 20, in the clubhouse at. Latonia. M. Webb Offutt is in charge of arrangements. Word was received by A. F. Lloyd, trainer of the thoroughbreds owned by H. Fried-berg, that the latter underwent an operation for appendicitis in Louisville last week and is doing nicely.
