1 ARLINGTON DOWNS NOTES f Jockey J. "Goggles" McCoy, who has been at Arlington Downs, departed Wednesday for Keeneland where he will be seen In action during the Kentucky meeting, after which he is scheduled to attend Churchill Downs. Following Heelflys unscheduled running away performance Tuesday, during which he unseated jockey L. McDermott and then went on to win the San Antonio Purse, E. Paul Waggoner, owner of the Texas and Kentucky Derby eligible, ordered Dr. W. G. Brock, track veterinarian, to make an exhaustive examination of the colt Brocks examination revealed that Heelfly suffered no injury in his runaway and will continue training for his engagements. A. M. Jacobus, who resigned as trainer for Mrs. V. E. Berry, arrived from Oaklawn Park and has several offers for his services. Tom Miller sold the plater Dozana to C. Zitnik. The daughter of Dozer has yet to enter competition thi3 year. W. J. Shelley, who serves as placing judge here, received word that he has been reappointed entry clerk and placing judge at Charles Town. Marcabala and Jenny Witch were added to starter Roy Dickersons schooling list. Apprentice L. Sisler was slated to have his first mount of the meeting on Navanod in the Waco Handicap Wednesday afternoon R. B. Buchanan and Frank A. Baldwin" managing editor of the Waco News-Tribune Lynn B. Shaw, secretary of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, and Harris B Waite, of the First National Bank, headed a large group of Waco turf enthusiasts attending Arlington Downs Wednesday afternoon. The visitors were entertained at luncheon in the clubhouse and, after viewing the sport, motored back home.
