JUVENILE DECOTO DESTROYED SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., April 7. Charles Hartwell, noted Northern California owner and breeder, lost a valuable horse Wednesday when it was found necessary to destroy Decoto, crack two-year-old. Decoto was a starter in the Tanforan Juvenile Championship Tuesday and fractured a small bone in his ankle during the running of that race. Veterinarians, upon examining him, discovered that he could not be saved. Hartwell considered Decoto the fastest youngster he ever developed, much better than either Lady Bewithus or Calaveras. , . r . . , 5 . I . ,
