Ann Collins Submits Racing Painting to Gansett Heads HeadsPAWTUCKET PAWTUCKET R I May 5 Ann Col ¬ lins distinguished young painter of equine subjects was at Narragansett yesterday to submit to the directors a painting in oils of the famous Alsab victory over Whirl away in what was one of the outstanding horse races of the past decade decadeNamed Named by the famous Australian painter Stainforth who himself has put horses on canvas for many royal patrons as the most promising young artiste in her specialized field the tall willowy Miss Collins is a first class horsewoman in her own right She acquired both gifts naturally her father having been a cartoonist and her formative years being spent on the Trinchea Grant S W Colorado where as the only white family on the reservation of 287000 acres the Collins children learned to ride before they could walk
