I • ! 1 3 Belgian Rider in England By Special Correspondent J NEWMARKET, England. — J. Shifner, a leading jockey in Belgium before the war, has been granted a license and is riding here this season. He escaped with his family to England when the Germans occupied Belgium. Shifner a few years ago won the Grand Prix dOsten on Prince Rose, sire of Princequillo, and was rated tops in his profession.
