Shot Put Works Nine Furlongs HOMEWOOD, 111., June 28.— Working around the "dogs" and over a muddy track at Washington Park this morning Mrs. Marie Evans Shot Put, who skyrocketed to fame over the local course several years ago, breezed nine furlongs in 2:03 this morning. Shot Put is expected to fill his Stars and Stripes engagement next Monday.
