The latter raced evenly to the linal eighth, then closed determinedly under punishment. DARBY DUCAT worked her way up steadily and secured a good position when .settled lor the drive, but was unable to threaten thereafter. GOOD FUN raced to the front early and set the pace to the last eighth, then made a good bid approachine the stretch, hut tired. BENZEDRINE was never .laneerou . HOMEWARD becan slowly. SKILLMAN. never far back and well ridden, came out slightly for the drive and, responding to mild ugring to take command, retained his advantage to the finish. SUGMAE, well placed from the start, took command after goine three eighths and continued gamely under punishment, but was not good enoueh for the winner. HELMS PRIDE went to the front at once and set the pace for three-sixteenths, but tired. RISKTON could not threaten and had no mishaps. DECKHAND, racing on the inside, was never a factor and had no excuse. BANK BOOK vas outrun. BOLD BOB broke slugeishly. DORAS SON raced greenly. DARBY DARION was through after goine three-eighths. SIX TRIX, never far bark, came between horses entering the stretch and, responding to good handling, disposed of MERT O. and then held KABO LEA safe. The latter, away well, raced in closest pursuit of MERT O. to the last eighth and continued gamely after the latter faltered, but was not good enoueh for the winner. GRAY DOTTIE, slow to begin and outrun to the stretch, closed strongly under punishment, giving a sharp effoit. MANDA. on the outside throughout, drifted out still farther during the drive and was unable to threaten. MERT O. raced to the front early, set the pace to midway the stretch under pressure from KABO LEA. then gave way. WAVECAP was never prominent. BALANCE DIE was done early. WISE PAISANO, slow to begin and outrun the first half mile, came to the middle of the track for the drive and finished gamely. LADY REBECCA, much used engaging FAIRLY FLY to the stretch, failed to stav in the drive. FAIRLY FLY set the pace to the stretch then gave way. ONE TIP was always far back.
