T. Waugh, British Trainer, Dies NEWMARKET, England, May 22.— Reuters — Tom Waugh, former British trainer and member of a family which has been connected with the turf for more than a century, died yesterday at the age of 72. His chief patron, Sir Robert Jardine, died in 1927. For Sir Robert, Waugh trained Cinna, winner of the One Thousand Guineas and Coronation stakes in 1920. He also conditioned Bellavista who won the Rous Memorial stakes at Goodwood in 1907 and proved very successful at stud, being the dam of Captain Cuttle, winner of the 1922 Derby.
