Benjamin F. Lister, Stable Owner, Commits Suicide PROVIDENCE, R. I., May 22.— Benjamin F. Lister, former Rhode Island textile manufacturer and prominent New England horseman, committed suicide this afternoon. His body was found on the Barring-ton Parkway, a highway running through East Providence. The main division of the Lister stable is currently being campaigned in New York, under Maj. Tom McCreery. Sam Harshani handles one section of the Lister horses in New England, and one of Listers sons, James, also trains a division here.
