Shiny Penny Heads Field For Narragansett Event Meets Play Bob, Weatherite And Restless in Rehoboth NARRAGANSETT PARK, Pawtucket, R. I., May 22. — Sam Garfield, Lynn, Mass., owner of a sizable racing string here, who watched two of his horses finish second in successive races yesterday, is hoping for a better result tomorrow when he will be represented by Shiny Penny, in the ,500 Roboth Purse. Shiny Penny is likely to attract considerable support in the mutuels for he looms as a formidable contender for the winners share of the purse in this six-furlong allowance race for four-year-olds and upward. He will carry 115 pounds along with Don Lewis Play Bob, the Mt. Desert Stables Weatherite and T. C. Melroses Restless. Play Bob and Weatherite are recent winners while Restless has not started at the meeting. Topweight goes to the Franklin Stables Chuck and the Marsonia Stables Transvaal II. Each will take up 120 pounds. At 118 will be the Oak Hill Stables Gay Gino while J. and A. Beatties Aboyne will carry 117 pounds. Others in this field are Guy Bedwells Sollure, D. F. Harringtons Magdala, C. A. Colalukas Hearth Broom, Mrs. Lyle Whitings Yavapai, the Fairview Stables Swag, E. B. Rollins New Boom and Miss B. Briggs Fittobetied. Four other allowance races, two claiming events and one for maiden two-year-olds will complete the card. In the two-year-old event, H. C.
