CHANCE DAY took command quick y was placed under snug restraint after an eighth, continued resolutely under energetic riding as MARIE OLYMPIA challenged and held the latter safe. MARIE OLYMPIA, well up from the start and saved to the final three-sixteens made a game effort under pressure, but was not good enough. POTEMKIN, raced wide and never far back finished strongest of the leaders in his game effort. EPIZAR, on the outside throughout, weakened after moving up in the drive. HYWICK had speed from the start, but gave way suddenly soon after entering the stretch. MIGRATION, taken back early, did not threaten. Scratched— 983543 Lookout Rascal, 115. NONCHALANTA, well up from the start and always clear as she raced on the outside, came resolutely under good urging in the last three-sixteenths and got up at the end. WISE TIGER, having speed and rated to the stretch, took command under pressure and held on stubbornly, but could not hold the winner. BRONZE MEDAL, well rated, got to the front while in hand, but gave way gradually in the last three-sixteenths. HASTEN JASON, away slowly, was required to lose ground when starting up on the turn and, closing fastest, was overtaking the leaders. MALI JOHNNY had no mishap. PATTER was held safe. WELL PLAY began slowly. AERIAL GUNNER raced wide and did not threaten CUT THE CARDS was unable to keep up. CHARLES HATT0N bore out badly. Scratched— 982892 Dusty Zac, 110. NANCY FLY moved up under light urging early, was steadied around the turn, met light interference from HURI HOM HARI entering the last eighth, drifted in slightly approaching the last sixteenth where she lost command but outfinished HURI HOM HARI in the closing strides. The latter took command quickly, crossed to the inside when clear, came out slightly after reaching the stretch, suffered lightly as the winner bore in entering the last sixteenth, regained command when clear but was outfinished. BIG ALBERT, in hand for a half mile, did not rally, yet held on gamely. C0RINA LARKJ closed well and on the inside under light urging. GAY KIT closed gamely while racing abreast of THREE CLOVERS. FRANK MUNNS, allowed to move up gradually on the outside while in hand, sprinted into wide command with a rush after straightening up in the Stretch and, taken in hand in the last eighth, probably had something left. ANTE LIGHT, under a good hold to the last five-sixteenths, entered contention quickly and held on with determination to the end. GOBLIN •aved much ground and closed resolutely. WHATS YOURS gave way steadily after reaching the stretch. LUXEMBOURGER cut out a slow early pace under restraint, but flattened out when placed to pressure. PAPALOI had speed from the start, responded when placed to mild urging after reaching the last three sixteenths and stalled off PLAIDLOCH the entire final eighth. The latter, in hand to the stretch and raced wide in the final three-eighths, moved up under light urging and closed evenly. COME AND GO crossed to the inside on the stretch turn and weakened gradually in the stretch run. DEVASTATING came strongly through the last eighth ROYALONG had no mishaps. WINTER RULES, well handled and under restraint to the final half mile, started up under light urging., quickly disposed of LOST AND FOUND and won well in hand. The latter, taken in hand after drawing clear in the first quarter, withstood pressure gamely but could not repel the challenge of the winner. POWDERED MILK was under good urging the last five-sixteenths and held on well. REX raced very wide into the stretch and remained near the middle of the track thereafter. DEVALUE was under light urging from the start and did not respond to punishment after reaching the last five-sixteenths. SIGNALS BLOKE showed little. Overweight— Winter Rules, 2 pounds. APPLEKNOCKER, away fast but taken back repeatedly, swung to the outside in the stretch, came with a rush when straightened up and won with speed in reserve. HANDY LAD forced the pace under a strong hold, took command entering the stretch and, weakening, readily gave way to the winner. SANDSLINGER raced wide and well back for a half, then closed resolutely. LITTLE MILLY, a strong factor from the start, weakened in the drive. OVERCROSS displayed good speed to the last three-sixteenths. EXPEDITER lacked speed throughout. INDIAN TRACE, under steady restraint to the last five-sixteenths, was slow to respond, came through on the inside when wearing down VERO LUMEN and weakened after getting to the front, but lasted. CLOSE UP, outrun to the stretch come out for the drive and closed fast. VERO LUMEN made the early pace in hand, increased her advantage when entering the stretch where she drifted out and weakened gradually in the drive. NICOGOLD lost ground and held on well in his game effort. GLENNPORT weakened in the stretch. CODE MENTOR quit badly after reaching the final turn. Overweight— Indian Trace, 2 pounds.
