B. Hancock, Jr., assistant manager of spacious Claiborne Farm, one of the show places in this section of the Blue Grass, reports the recent arrival of 24 foals at the place, including twins born to Short Rations, a daughter of Hard Tack. The twins were colts by Hard Tack, one a bay and the other a chestnut. The latter youngster died shortly after birth. Following are the latest matrons who had foals: La Rambla, a bay filly by Johnstown; Ripples, bay filly by Isolater; My Bonnie, bay filly by Rhodes Scholar; Peggy Byrne, bay filly by Johnstown; Flawless, bay filly by Jamestown; Birth Stone, bay filly by Teddys Comet; Southern Gal, bay filly by Chop Chop; Marigal, bay colt by Isolater; Risky Raid, bay colt by Questionnaire; Pompohone, bay colt by Johnstown; Fire-top, bay colt by Blenheim II.; Lucky Pledge, bay colt by Jacopo; Khadija, bay colt by Questionnaire; P T Boat, bay colt by Some Chance; Goosie Gander, chestnut colt by Fenelon; Lady Nicotine, bay colt by Sir Gallahad III.; Blue Ensign, bay colt by Rhodes Scholar; Best by Test, bay colt by Eight Thirty; Parachutist, bay colt by Count Fleet; Riva, bay colt by Tintagel; First Scholar, chestnut colt by Fighting Fox; Hard Baked, bay colt by Johnstown. Bookings This Season La Rambla and Marigal are booked to Isolter; Risky Raid to Questionnaire; Ripples goes to Shut Out, while My Bonnie and Best by Test are to visit the court of Rhodes Scholar. Pompohone, Goosie Gander and Riva go to Johnstown; Fire top to Blenheim H„ Lucky Pledge to Whirlaway, Khadija to Menow, while Short Rations and Birth-stone are booked to Sun Again. Blue Larkspur will be mated to P T Boat, Peggy Byrne to Flares, Lady Nicotine to Sir Gallahad HI., and Blue Ensign to Devil Diver.
