Delaware Park Wont Use Receiving Barn at Meeting WILMINGTON, Del., May 22.— While favoring the receiving barn in principal, Delaware Park will not make use of it for the meeting beginning May 29, because of the lack of unanimity among trainers. This decision was reached today by the members of the executive committee, Messrs. Donald P. Ross, J. Simpson Dean, William duPont, Jr., Harold F. Schutt, and announced by Bryant Field, general manager at Delaware. Field stated: "My instructions are to put in the receiving barn properly or not at all. It is evident from the crossfire of opinion among owners and trainers that present receiving barn methods leave much to be desired on its own and with other tracks. Delaware Park will endeavor to perfect by research the receiving barn idea so that horsemen are fully protected without detrimental factors being involved. After this study, we would hope to have the ideal barn arrangement for the 1947 meeting."
