HURRICANE YANK, going forwardly while under a tight hold, slipped nearing the far turn, then drew clear under urging and was kept going by steady pressure to the end. LUCY S. followed close behind BRISTOL BOY around the first turn, assumed command when the latter quit, then held on gamely after losing the lead to the winner. STORMY BILL worked way up on the outside rounding the final turn and closed with good energy. OCEANUS, outrun for a mile, closed a gap under steady urging while losing ground on the outside BROCADE had no mishap. STROLLING DON faltered in the final quarter. SCOTCH BREAD retired steadily.
