PEACE HARBOR displayed speed from the beginning, responded when roused, but bore out on END OF STRIFE and drew away in the final furlong. The latter, a prominent factor all the way, held on well. CLEAN SLATE swerved to the inside in the final furlong. OUR TOMMY was well up and had no mishap. SUGAR PILL showed a good effort. DOGGIN IT faltered steadily. POMPEIAN raced evenly. The latter was eased back early, moved up on the inside, was blocked, then came again at the end. GALA REIGH showed speed from the beginning and had no mishap. COSEY was taken under restraint at the beginning and was blocked when trying to close in the final furlong. YANKEE CHANCE had no mishap. SALERNO was sluggish at the start and, under restraint, was sent to the outside turning for home to close with a rush. ALRUSHA was under steady restraint to the far turn, was placed under urging, but could not gain on the leader. TATERS set a slow early pace, but tired badly. CHANCE MORN had no mishap. MANOR LAD was steadied along early, made a determined bid in the stretch, then faltered nearing the finish. CABLE showed a good effort and finished well. HYPNOTIC was rushed into command going to the far turn, then faltered under urging. MISLEADER showed a good effort. PERFECT BAHRAM weakened. WAR WATCH was outrun. LION RAMPANT began slowly.
