Expect Aqueduct Meeting Will Be Run at Belmont BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y„ May 25. — The possibility loomed strongly here today that the meeting of the Queens County Jockey Club, scheduled to open June 3, and run to June 22, at Aqueduct, will be transferred to Belmont Park. Negotiations to that end have been under way for several days, but official announcement is being withheld. Construction work at the Ozone Park course have been delayed by the railroad strike, which held up delivery of needed materials, chiefly electrical. Another hampering factor is the jurisdictional strike of teamsters, bartenders, admission ticket sellers, and electricians. A picket line has been thrown around Aqueduct, which would make the transfer of horses there a major problem. There is an ample supply of horses at Belmont Park, but an insufficient number at Aqueduct to conduct a meeting.
