Laurin; bred by J. E. Welch. WENT TO POST-5:46. OFF AT 5:47 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. MOON POOL, always well up between horses, responded to stout pressure when straightened in the drive and was up in the final stride. KNUTE slipped through on the inside rounding the final turn, rallied to get to the front and just failed to last. NARIAH moved around horses with a rush, was going well through the stretch when he bore over sharply, forcing MOKUP to take up. The latter, forwardly placed on the outside, was moving to the leaders when impeded. PARK AVENUE closed with a rush on the outside. PARK HEIGHTS disposed of REX HEROD after a half, drew clear, saved ground, then flattened out in the drive. ERICA weakened after forcing the pace. AB0YNE showed nothing. PATSY T. moved into contention nearing the far turn, ran into a pocket and was unable to recover. The others were outrun. NARIAH was disqualified and placed fourth. MOKUP was placed third.
