Chanteur II. Comes Right Back for White Rose Win LONDON, England, May 26 Reuters. M. P. Magots French racer, Chanteur II., pulled off a good feat by coming back after his victory in the Winston Churchill Stakes Saturday to capture the ,000 one mile and seven-furlong White Rose Stakes at Hurst Park today; Sir Humphrey do Traf fords Look Ahead, the only English horse in the race, was second by four lengths, while the Gaekwar of Barodas French filly, Prette, was third. Chanteur II. went off at 3 to 1. His victories are probably a forerunner of what to expect from the strong French challenge for the big English prizes this season, with Ascot and Epsom stakes the prime objective. Chanteur II. will remain in England to contest the Coronation Cup at Epsom.
