LAFFANGO rushed forwardly on the inside immediately after the break, was hustled along while racing with IS PROUD, put that one away in the stretch under hard urging and drew out to win handily. IS PROUD began slowest of all, but quickly vaulted to the front from the outside, raced willingly with the winner into the stretch, then weakened. NOSTREBOR was a forward factor and held on evenly. COL. KIMBLE saved ground while well placed, but lacked a rally. CHIEF LOCO could not keep up early. FLORIDA FLASH faltered. MIGHTY DAN began sluggishly. ELL quickly passed JERKY to establish a long lead, was under a strong hold while Dearing out on the final turn, again widened on the field in the early stretch and lasted under pressure. IDEALIST stumbled badly at the start, steadily made his way forward after recovering and finished full of run. JERKY began fast, could not stay with the winner, but made a mild bid when punished entering the stretch, then just lasted to hold her placing. H00PDED0NT was unable to contend early while racing between horses, then closed well in the final stages. PENELEOS was a forward factor, but failed to respond. SUZE SIN performed evenly. BOLO RUNAWAY, well ridden and away alertly, was steadied for a breather when strongly challenged by rivals on the final turn, came again when punished in the last furlong and outfinished JOHNS ADMIRAL The latter moved into contention early, but had difficulty finding clear racing room next to the rail, finally forced passage between BOLO RUNAWAY and LIBRAB in the final furlong and finished gamelyr LIBRAB was sent through a narrow opening on the inside to wrest command on the turn, held sway under steady urging into the last sixteenth and weakened only slightly. MOMS CHOICE was lightly steadied while racing behind the first flight, came to the outside for the end and finished well. JUSTA TIGER was hard pressed while fighting for the lead and weakened. BETTER BUY saved ground. CALATER raced wide while showing speed to the stretch. GALLALAD was not a factor. RUXTON saved ground, steadily improved his position, took command when MARTHA PAULA drifted out in the drive and lasted under extreme pressure. MARTHA PAULA was under intermittent pressure while racing with the first flight, opened a clear lead under urging in the early stretch, but bore out badly, then was coming again at the end while finishing in the middle of the track. ARAB KNIGHT, under a long hold while racing prominently placed, was taken up when boxed in at the far turn, then failed to respond in the -drive, FROLIC set the pace under pressure, tired and drifted out HIGH DESCENT was outrun. SCREAMING MIMI showed nothing. BLUE THISTLE raced well , out in the track throughout and was not a serious factor. REINSTATE faltered. Won driving; second and third the same. ROMANTYPE raced in closest pursuit of SOME TRAFFIC, quickly disposed of that one on the final turn and, despite shying from the whip brushing his face near the end, continued evenly to best GOTTADANCE. The latter raced within easy striking distance, but was not good enough. FOX RUN lost ground racing on the outside and could not get up. WARUP rallied mildly in the closing stages. SOME TRAFFIC had early speed while running in "rabbit jumps," settled down after three furlongs, but weakened. PATTYS DAY was outrun. J. DEVlLKIN was under a snug hold and easily raced to the leaders on the turn, responded to a.single stroke of the whip to take command and drew into a long lead to win with speed in reserve. DING DING had no trouble wearing down MOOREA, but was no match for the top. one when .challenged and was tiring at the end. .FIGHTING LARK lacked speed to engage the first flight, but fiinshed well. WHIRLARON was hard ridden, but could not threaten. HELLESPONT was outrun and forced to be in hand while behind horses on the turn. MOOREA dashed out to a long lead at the start, but stopped after three furlongs. DESERT swung out sharply on the stretch turn. Overweight— Devilkin, 1 pound. SEVENTH-RACE 1 1-16-MILES. MOTORIST was taken under wraps after sprinting into a long lead, was gradually let out for the drive, then withstood a prolonged challenge from GARIBALDI. The latter was rated within striking distance, - loomed boldly in the drive, but could not get up, although gradually gaining at the end. DAYROUND came around horses to appear dangerous entering the stretch, then weakened under punishment PETERUN began slowly, was outrun and closed with a belated rush on , the outside. BOSTON GRAY had no mishap. MAH HEAVENS quit.- FREE PRESS began sluggishly and was not a serious factor. REJECTION SLIP stumbled badly at the break. IRON PIGEON quit badly.
