Announce Pimlicos Purse Set-Up for Remainder of Meet PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 15.— The Maryland Jockey Club, with its spring meeting running well ahead of 1951 figures, is sharing its prosperity with the horsemen according to figures given out Wednesday by racing secretary Charles J. McLennan. Under the terms of the original purse scale for the 15-day meeting, Pimlico offered 2,000 daily exclusive of stakes with a guarantee of at least 0,000 per day if some of the better events failed to fill. The minimum purse for the first condition book was ,000. Under the new set-up, the minimum purse for the final six days of the meeting is ,500 and an agreement has been reached with the HBPA to give enough money on the final two programs to bring the daily purse distribution to 2,000 for the entire meeting. This will involve adding between ,000 and ,000 to the distribution for the final two programs
