ETERNAL SQUARE was always prominent and continued on gamely. LIBERTY A. lacked a rally, under pressure. NEW CHALLENGE weakened during the stretch run. SAM BERNARD rallied only mildly. GINGER, under steadying restraint while within striking distance, gained prominence after the first mile, showed a tendency to lug in while assuming command, then drew clear to be an easy winner. DIGIT gained a slight lead after a mile, was steadied twice while GINGER was moving to the front, then proved no match. Drurys claim of foul against the winner was not allowed: SHADOW SHOT caught only tired horses. LARRY D. quit after a mile. VALDINA FIND came back lame.
