Platers Assurance to HBPA LINCOLN FIELDS, Crete, 111., June 7. At a special committee meeting of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association, held on Friday, June 4, at which the president and secretary of the track horseshoers were present, a discussion was .held between Joseph Kohout, president of the Central division of the HBPA, and the men representing the platers. The meeting was in regard to the shoeing of horses on Saturdays and holidays after 12:00 noon and a change in the platers present rule was brought about by which they assured the committee they would shoe any horse entered to run on Saturday or holidays up to and including the race.
