Basil io-DeMarco Tickets Are Sold Out First Day SYRACUSE, N. Y., May 3 "UP.— Promoter Norm Rothschild announced today a one-day sellout of tickets for the Carmen Basilio-Tony DeMarco welterweight championship bout in Syracuse June 10. Rothschild said three lines of customers moved past the ticket windows in a steady stream for eight hours. Total sales, when out-of-town agencies report, will amount to about 18,000, he said. Included in the sale of almost 9,000 tickets were 800 sold to Boston followers of DeMarco. Rothschild said ttiis "didnt scratch the surface" of requests from Boston. DeMarco is to receive 40 per cent of the net gate for the fight and Basilio 20 per cent. They also will share in television money.
