Black-Eyed Susan List Includes High Voltage Proud Pomp, Reddy Ro and Far Pacific Among 54 Candidates BALTIMORE, Md., May 3.— Headed by last years champion juvenile filly, High Voltage, a total of 54 three -year-old fillies have been .nominated for the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes to be run at Pimlico on Saturday, May 14. Of the 54 named for this mile and a sixteenth event, worth 0,000, no less than 23 have been successful in stakes competition and the group include the horses who finished one-two-three in • the Marguerite at Pimlico last fall. High Voltage, who gained national acclaim through her triumphs in the Selima, Matron, Colleen, National Stallion and Rosedale Stakes, is in training. Proud Pomp, Reddy Ro and Far Pacific, the first three to finish in last autumns Marguerite seem ready to resume their rivalry as members of the three-year-old division. Reddy Ro was seen in action during the winter, finishing second in the Jasmine Stakes at Hialeah. Other prominent performers regarded as possible starters in the Susan are Blue Sparkler, one of the summer developments in New Jersey a year ago when she won the Wanda and Home-bred Stakes; Courtesy, recently second in the Ashland; Erra-sina, victor in two stakes in Ohio last summer; Minnie Moocher, runner-up in this years Prioress; Myrtles Jet, a double stakes winner in 1954; Royca, *a stakes winner in New England, and Sorceress, in the money in five stakes last year.
