Botticelli in Ascot Gold Cup Special to Daily Racing Form MILAN, Italy, June 4 Reuters .—Botticelli, Italys four-year-old champion, will run in the Ascot Gold Cup on June 16, it was announced today at Dormello Olgiata Stables. This will be Botticellis second appearance at the famed English course. He ran in the King George VI. and Queen Elizabeth Stakes last July, but was unplaced. His owners said then that an acci-dentj which occurred while the son of Blue Peter — Bounamica was disembarking from a plane, curtailed his training and prejudiced his chances. Botticelli will leave Milan next Tuesday . . . this time by train.
