N0RTHQUEST broke sluggishly, weaved his way between horses when gaining best stride, took a clear lead in the stretch and just lasted over HASTY FLIGHT. The latter lacked early speed and had to be cautiously ridden on the turn, came out for the drive and was rapidly getting to the winner. DJEDDAHS STAR had no excuse in a good effort. FRIED GAL closed well after a slow beginning and might go better when sent a longer distance. NOBLE WARRIOR was much used vying for command early and weakened. WAS A MAN was bothered just after the start. MISS EILEEN had early speed and tired. BORN RUNNING flashed speed as usual, and gave way badly. JACK KENNY was in close pursuit of the pace from the start, drew into a clear lead when punished in the stretch and won fully extended. BEAU RAMBLER had to steady momentarily on the final turn when blocked, forged between horses leaving the final turn and was not good enough. MONTAERA broke poorly. WINDSOR KNOT moved up strongly to threaten on the final turn and gave way in the final quarter mile. RING FLEET went well for six furlongs and tired.
