1 NEW YORK TURF NOTES I Tom Murphy, who trained Twenty Grand for the Greentree Stable as a two-year-old was a Belmont Park visitor Monday and inspected the horses that he has there in charge of Frank Groshe. Frank Brown arrived from Florida and was a first time visitor Monday morning. He will purchase several horses this summer. Condition books for the Churchill Downs meeting were distributed at. Belmont Park Tuesday. The Foxcatcher Farms Stable headed by the Wood Memorial candidate Rosemont is expected at Belmont Park next week. During the illness of Norman Tallman, Charlie Quinn is training the horses. George Burke, agent for Greentree Sta-. ble, and C. V. Whitney, arrived from Maryland and will await the Jamaica opening. Peter Blong arrived from Florida and will join the layers on the opening day at Jamaica. Jockey R. Jones, first string rider for the Mrs. John Hay Whitney stable, will report to trainer Healy for the Jamaica meeting. Matt Brady has taken over Kerry Patch to train for Lee Rosenberg while Pat Kne-belkamp has Dowdy Dell for the same owner.
