ANIMATOR, much the best, was reserved off the early pace, moved up fast when called upon and, taking command entering the stretch, won easily. DUNLEY, rated behind the early pace, moved into the lead on the lower turn and, while holding on well, was no match for the winner. HIGH HATTER, far back for a mile, gained steadily in the final quarter and finished well. PLAY SHOOT swerved at the start, was hard hused to take the lead and tired badly in the final quarter. ABE FURST, sent into a long lead in the first half mile, was well rated and, standing off a challenge from BANK SHOT in the stretch, was going away at the finish. BANK SHOT, closest to the winner throughout, made a game bid in the stretch, but tired nearing the finish. HOURLESS WONDER saved ground during the run through the back stretch and held, on well.
