Brooks Given Permission To Seek Outside Mount CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville* Ky., May 4. — That Calumet Farm will not be represented in Saturdays seventy-sixth running: of the Kentucky Derby became semi-official late this afternon when trainer Ben Jones informed jockey Steve Brooks that he would be allowed to seek an outside mount in the big; race. Jones said yesterday, that Theory is very doubtful for the Classic run. At the same time it was learned from trainer Sylvester Veitch that jockey Douglas Dodson, who is scheduled to ride Mr. Trouble, is ailing; in New York and that if he is unable, to make the trip here, Brooks will get the mount on the Blue Grass winner.
