INFAITH was unhurried early, lugged in badly when roused in the early stretch, then recovered to respond and wear down YOURE THE TOP. The latter was rated behind the pace cf SAGAGAL, drew clear in midstretch and just failed to last despite strong pressure. SAGAGAL, under restraint while in front, flattened out when set down for the drive. LADY RIDGEWELL failed to seriously threaten. DISKY held a forward position, but had nothing in reserve for the drive. GOOD GRAZING tired. VETOED had brief speed. TOWN MARCH and MAERING had no chance with the start. JOE OLSAN, sent between horses to gain command, held a slight lead well into the stretch, but faltered. WHIZZ HAPPY vied for the lead for five furlongs and quit. RED NED, outrun early, was rallying nicely in the early stretch when taken up sharply. AURA LEE, rushed to gain command early, faltered. MAXIM MISS was shuffled back badly leaving the back-stretch. GOLDEN BULL sprinted to the front from the start, was smartly rated and withstood the extended drive of ARCAVE. The latter, under restraint while pressing the pace, was ridden with poor judgment and crowded while attempting to move through along the inside of GOLDEN BULL leaving the backstretch, swung out for his stretch run and fought it out willingly. MAGNA CHARTA responded to a challenge from the inside, then hung in the drive. TARAN, crowded on the inside of MAGNA CHARTA leaving the backstretch, closed with good energy when able to recover. CERTIFIED, always prominent, weakened after challenging for the lead nearing the stretch. WAR STORY broke slowly and trailed. Scratch -00438 Going Away, 119. ANNIE OAKLEY, allowed to lag early, circled the field while challenging and responded to urging to wear down TAR. The latter saved ground while turning back SIGN IT, gave way to ROYAL BONES in the early stretch, outfinished that one while bumping, but could not resist the winner. ROYAL BONES reached the lead from the outside nearing the stretch, tired slightly and was in a bit close between the top pair in the last seventy yards. TRANS EGRET lacked a rally. SILENT TYPE, outdistanced early, closed well. SIGN IT flattened out after dueling for the lead to the stretch. BIRD IN HAND stopped badly. Scratched-00139 Sir Sag, 117. HARVEST REWARD, steadied just after the break, was roused mildly to escape trouble at the first turn, responded readily when called upon to wrest command, drew clear and, as usual, came back extremely sore.
