COMPARE was hustled to the front soon after the start and rated there, then withstood a stiff challenge from DANCE BAND. The latter reached closer contention quickly, secured room on the inside for the drive and was wearing down the winner. JIMMYS DOLL raced closest to the pace cf the winner and weakened from the effort. FUN QUEST raced evenly and was going well at the end. MERRY ZAC was forwardly placed, but could not improve her position. PRIANA AND ONE ROSE RECEIVED INJURIES AT THE STARTING GATE AND WERE ORDERED SCRATCHED. ALL MONIES WAGERED ON THEM IN THE POOL AND DAILY DOUBLE WERE REFUNDED. FOXY POISE, well handled, was reserved back of the leaders for a turn of the field, was placed to pressure to wear down LITTLE KEN, then drew clear. LITTLE KEN was sent to the front and steadied there, fenced well but went wide on the final turn and could not resist the winner. BANNOCK* LADCIE was forwardly placed from the start and was eased back after a mile, closed well when called upon, but was not good enough. STORM HOUR, a forward factor all the way, fenced well but could not get up. MOOT had early speed, but gave way gradually. PRAIRIE IMP was not dangerous. STORM ON tired early. MONTES ACE, a stout factor from the beginning and well rated, moved to the leader in the stretch and drew away under pressure. BILL TWIG lacked speed to race with the leaders early, but closed with a rush. YALE, slow to settle into best stride, moved up fast through the stretch and was going well at the end. BOLD KNOT, prominent from the beginning while on the inside, made a stout bid in the stretch, but was not good enough. RAINTREE forced the early pace into the stretch, then weakened. SIR DAVID raced evenly and was in close quarters on the turn. AUTO MESSAGE went out to set the early pace, but retired when challenged. FIRST NIGHT could not engage the leaders. SCREEMIN JACK was reserved within reach of the early pace, went to the outside when placed to pressure in the stretch and wore down HERE ME. The latter raced in closest pursuit of the pace of PARTY REQUEST disposed of the latter to take a short lead between calls in the late stretch, but could not resist the winner. PARTY REQUEST was hustled to the front at once and rated there, saved ground, but weakened near the end. THE GHIZEH raced evenly, made a bid in the stretch, but was not good enough. LYLES FIRST, very slow to settle into best stride, was going well at the end. FRENABILBEPA and EMERGENCY HOUR were not prominent. HARVEST POINT was steadied close to the early pace while on the outside, made a strong bid in the stretch, but weakened. KENTUCKY TOWN turned in an even effort. SEE TOP was sent up with a rush to reach the leader on the final turn, took a short lead in the stretch, but quit. MINOROME had early speed while on the outside, but could not keep up.
