MORTES WHIZ, never far back, improved position steadily from the outside," displaced the leaders inside the furlong post and drew clear. REPUDIATE was a sharp contender between horses, took command briefly in the stretch, but was not good enough. STILL GAY was always prominent and faltered in the closing furlong. FOLK MUSIC, pinched back after the start, went by tired horses with a belated bid. STEVIE DEAR lacked speed. PAMARIS tired after taking a clear advantage on the turn. MAN 0 MUSIC was outrun. SISTER LOUISE lacked speed to remain prominent, went through on the rail when gaining best stride and closed best of the others. HAY MOM made the pace by a narrow advantage until the stretc hand weakened. RAMPALLION was used up pressing the pace. BEDAZZLE was outrun. MISS TOPIC tired. BLEU FEATURE ran wide leaving the turn, then bore in enterino the stretch. BLUE ROXY showed nothing. DUCHESS D. quit. BIMFORT, A SCHEDULED STARTER, WAS ANNOUNCED WITHDRAWN BEFORE THE FIRST RACE AND ALL COMBINATIONS IN THE DAILY DOUBLE ON HER WERE REFUNDED. Scratched— 28704 Bimfort, 110. POLITICIAN was well placed while fencing cleanly, went through on the inside to obtain the lead and won with something left. STUNTS was nicely rated while in the lead, bobbled badly at the fifth and sixth fences and appeared awkward over the remaining hedges, but lasted for the place. FONDA was always within striking distance, but failed to respond. ELYACIN tired slightly after pressing the pace early. WHATSINIT quit. EXTRA was always far back. FOURTH RACE 5 1-2 FURLONGS. BELLE AMIE forced the pace on the rail rounding the turn, was allowed to draw clear along the backstretch, was hard put when challenged in midstretch and outgamed GORGEOUS REDED. The latter dropped off the lead under strong restraint after a quarter mile, swung wide leaving the final turn, engaged the winner shortly thereafter, but was not good enough. VALADIUM, reserved while saving ground, failed to respond, but bested the others. TURMERIC showed little. SIGNAL was through after a half mile. Overweight— Belle Amie, 1 pound. SIXTH RACE 3-4 MILE. The latter was forwardly placed from the beginning and lacked a menacing rally BIG IF had no excuse in a good effort. ARISE raced evenly. HYPHASIS ran wide leaving the turn. ISLE OF MAN, in good position under steadying restraint, put away FLASH OF LIGHT when called upon and won fully extended. The latter reached a clear lead early, held on well, but could not resist the top one. JOIE DE VIVRE made a mild bid on the inside and tired. GOOD TIMER bore out and ran wide on Doth turns.
