LATONIAS STAKE ENTRIES CLOSE MARCH 15. Cincinnati, O., March 5. Stakes to lie decided during the spring meeting at Latonla will number eleven. The Latonla Derby and the Latouia Oaks closed last year. Entries to the other nine events, which are as follows, will close March 15: Queen City Handicap, for three-year-olds and over, 1 1-8 miles, 2,500 guaranteed, 5 to accompany the nomination; 50 additional to start. Weights will be announced three days prior to the nice bv board of handicappers, consisting of W. O. Parmer, Lyman H. Davis, and Joseph A. Murphy. Ciipsetta Stakes, 2-year-olds, fillies, five furlongs; ,250 added. Harold Stakes, 2-year-olds, colts, five furlongs; ,250 added. Cincinnati Trophy, two-year-olds, colts and fillies, live and one-halt furlongs: ,000 added and a silver cup donated by Julius Fleiselimann. Merchants Stakes, 3-year-olds and upward, selling, one mile; ,250 added. Brewers Exchange Handicap. 3-year-olds and upward, six furlongs; ,250 added. Kentucky Steeplechase Handicap, 3-year-obls and upward. Club House Course; ,000 added. Cincinnati Hotel Spring Handicap, .i-year-olds and upward, one and one-eighth miles; ,250 added. Decoration Handicap, 3-year-olds and upward, one and one-sixteenth miles; ,500 added. The meeting will open May 30, witli the Decoration Handicap as the feature. The Queen City Handicap will be decided June 1C. There is to be no renewal of the Latonla Derby and Oaks for 1107. The Latonia Jockey Club has plans for better events in the near future.
