TO RACE INDEFINITELY AT THE OLD TRACK. Western Jockey Club Grants Permission Nothing Said About Memphis Dates in Official Report. Stewards of the Western Jockey Club held their regular monthly meeting yesterday. They granted to the New Louisiana Jockey Club permission to extend Its meeting from March 24 for an indenite number of days. The New Louisiana Jockey Club, which usually follows the Crescent City Jockey Club with one weeks racing at the old track in New Orleans, was originally granted the dates from March 10 to 2-1. This action means that Charles S. Bush and Ills associates intend to keep open at Crescent Park until the meeting at City Park is ended, and they nmy go a bit further. Nothing was said about the extension at Oaklawn from March 31 to April 14. The stewards probably regard that matter as covered in the original allotment to the Hot Springs track which reads "thirty-one days or more" from February 17. Neither was there ratification of the twenty-one days April 10 to May .l chosen by the New Memphis Jockey Club for the spring meeting at Montgomery Park. It is understood that the stewards will give their sanction to these dates at their April meeting. The Denver-Overland Racing Club made application for dates for a summer meeting, but that matter was passed until next month. -- C. J. Forsytbe, who was ruled off at Delniar Park in 1902, was reinstated. Licenses of persons participating in unrecognized meetings were revoked, as usual.
