AVon easily; second driving. Ocean Shore, from a ilatfooted start, raced quickly into the lead, coming away fast from the others right at the end. Peerless Lass was unable to bold her position and was shutlled back early, but closed up well iu the stretch. Logo, nearly left, closed an immense gap and finished going fastest of all. "Mala showed superior early speed and only lost third place in the last stride after a good effort. Mrs. Matthews got away poorly and, after a line display of speed, tired in the closing drive. Mimon unexpectedly failed to stay after running forward!? for six furlongs, putting up a bad race. Hobsons Choice was prominent from the start and going well at the end. Dotage finished well up. Dargin, shut off and pulling up at the start, set sail after the winner and, practically lapping him all the way, was never quite able to get tip. Mimo was reserved in the early running and outstayed Tain OShanter for third place in a long end sprint. Tarn OShantcr, after setting the early pace, put up a game finish. Rusticate finished well up and going fast. Prestano made up considerable ground in a surprisingly good effort. Profitable was dry and listless. Buchanan, skillfully reserved in close attendance on the pacemaker for half the journey, suddenly stole into a long and winning lead on the far turn, eventually getting home under slight pressure. Dixie Lad. on the inside, bad going, was in forward contention from the start and, after his rider was caught napping on the far turn, could never quite get up in a remarkable, game closing effort. Lone Wolf liked the difficult going and outstayed the others through the stretch. Theo Case was messed about, shut off and knocked to the rear on the far turn and was never dangerous afterwards. Pentagon suddenly quit in the last sixteenth when he appeared to have a good chance, libel Thatcher retired early. Tavora hail no chance witli his rider. Queen Uec was very sore. Bekn!ghted, nearly left, closed an immense gap and may have been best. Salable had no mishaps and tjred badly in the closing drive. Roycroft, ilatfooted at the start, dropped quickly to the rear and had no chance. The others were beaten off at the start and the race was a procession.
