Won easily; second driving. Hyperion II. outran ids opponents all the way and set a fast pace, but was tiring at the end and had to be mildly shaken up to stall off Broomhandle. The latter fought it out clesoly with Lotus Eater all through the last furlong and outstayed the latter in the final drive. Lotus Eater ran a good race and saved ground on all the turns, tired in the last sixteenth, but held on gamely. Robbie Kean ran witli the leaders for six furlongs and then tired. Affinity was off well and set a fast pare, raced Black Flag into subjection while rounding the far turn and was going away at the end. Clamor broke well, but dropped back in the first furlong, then came again in the stretch and, finishing with a rush, outstayed Black Flag under punishment. Black Flag showed much speed for three furlongs and then tired and lost ground by being carried wide by tin; winner on the turn into the homestretch. Moccasin showed improvement. Bound Brook fenced poorly while going the first time around and then closed up fast, but tired at the end under a drive. Sam Parmer tired In the last half after racing well with the leaders for the first mile. Wild Range trailed to the tenth jump, when he fell. Frank Somers bolted and refused. Money Muss raced Mafalda into subjection in the first half, saved ground when entering the homestretch and outstayed Hannibal Bey In the filial drive. The latter had to go around the leaders on the far turn and lost ground when entering the homestretch, where lie went very wide, but closed up again when straightened out. Gallithca wore Mafalda down in the last sixteenth and just managed to get up in time to leat her out for third place. The latter showed the most early speed, but tired in the stretch. Anne Davis finished fast. Richard Jr. ran well.
