Royal Window was always in nearest pursuit, ran a fine race and had no opposition for second place. Affinity came like a flash from the rear in the stretch and would h.ve been second in another stride. Temaceo ran a good race. Lady Vera ran a fast live-eighths and tired. Thomond was started behind the others, closed a big gap and, gaining steadily, would have won in another stride. Australlna ran a good race, but tired in the stretch. Midas showed the most early speed, but failed to stay. Pronta ran an unaccountably bad race. Nonsense quit. Alencon waited on Prospero to the middle of the turn, then drew away and won in -i canter. Pliilador ran a surprisingly good race, was well up all the way and gamely withstood a challenge from Akbar. The latter finished fast and would have been second in another stride. Alencon was slightly cut down after passing the wire. Miss Point and Lady Alntree finished fast and close up. Perry McAdow threw bis rider while at the post and ran away through the stable yards, but when caught and brought back for the race, took the lead at the start and, holding it, won going away. Secret closed a big gap and finished fast after being knocked off his stride at the start. Sunray ran out at the head of the stretch when going well and apparently the winner.
