Densie Densmore, off well, was kept close to the leader and was under punishment in the final sixteenth, but was going away at the end. Glen Lonely ran a good race, was in forward-contention all the way and outgamed Ancient Witch for second placel Ancient Witch, off badly, was taken right to the front and made the running, but tired badly in the last sixteenth. Arno Is a flow beginner and apjieared hopelessly out of it on the backstretch but. saving ground on tin; stretch turn, went to the front quickly and won well in hand. French Empress showed a line turn of speed and easily held second place safe. Charley Ward finished fast. Improving with every rice, and is due soon. Klldare is rounding to and finished with a rush. Lady Bateman made the runnins and tired from It. Imposition, shullled back shortly after the start, was not persevered with and can do better. The last two were never factors. Dawson was best, went to the front when his rider was ready and, despite a blunder over two of the jumps, had no difficulty in maintaining his forward position. Trenct the Mere trailed for awhile, thou made up ground gradually and finished witli a rush. Manzano was raced at a fast clip in front ami was very unruly. Is a good juniper and can win, but tired badly in the final strides. Lulu Young was in contention throughout and was pinched oil when entering the main track, otherwise would possibly have finished third. The last three were never dangerous. Ben-volio. well ridden, was reserved for the final effort, was clear of Interference throughout and. catching Old Stone twenty yards from the finish, beat him out by a narrow margin. Old Stone is in good form, set a stilt pace and only succumbed in the final strides. St. Tammany finished with his belated rush and wearing the leaders down. Goldmate, after being in contention all the way, rather unexpectedly quit in the final sHteenth. Bon Mot was outrun at all times and did not run his race by any means. St. Noel was much the best, got ofT well, was taken to the outside and reserved, went to the front when called on and was never really extended. Sunny Brook ran forwardly all the way, but was ridden out in the final strides after losing ground on the stretch turn. Trappist was in contention ihrough-out and ran a good race. Sans Coeur made the early running, but tired. Oro Viva, badly messed about, finished with a rush. Mag Nollns race was a joke. She can do much better. Scarecrow met with considerable interference and finished fast after being straightened out. Widows Mite was hard ridden all the way and was tiring fast at the end.
