Ccderstronie ran in close pursuit of the early pacemakers from the start, went wide on the last turn and then was pulled over and swerving into the others and was a lucky third. Ranis Horn, badly messed about in the first half, finished with a belated rush and was as good as the winner. Cairngorm mistakingly set the pace and failed to stay, tiring badly in the last furlong. Von Tromp, nearlv left, made up ten lengths on the outside in the middle half, was carried out on the last turn and tired right at the end. Proper dropped out. at the half and ran a bad race. Moiesey. shuttled back on the turn, came again at the end and was a fast going fourth. El Dorado finished close up and going well. Entree broke in close quarters and was carried wide on the first turn, made up ground rapidly on the outside In the middle half and challenged Belgravia in the stretch, outstaying her after a hard tussle and Miller was then nearly caught napping by Tartan right at the end. The latter, away poorly, ran around on the outside on the turn into forward contention at the half, fell back at a critical moment ard then came again with a belated end rush and just failed to get up. Belgravia was rushed into the lead early and excessively used to make the pace and tired right at the end. Maxnar, badly messed about in the early running, was coming fast in the stretch. Caronal, away poorly and outpaced for the first half, made up a lot of ground. Bad News failed to stay after running forwardly for seven furlongs. Agile ran poorly and was never dangerous. Grenade, pulling up repeatedly in the first quarter, never had a chance with a bad ride throughout. Mandarin quit badly. Scratched 031C9LogistilIa, 121; CTtoO Samson. 110.
