SETH JACOBS IS DYING. Buffalo, N. Y., August 1. Seth Jacobs, the well-known western bookmaker, who has been 111 since the early spring Is reported to be sinking fast and his demise is momentarily expected. Seth Jacobs was born in Paterson, N. J., and his early experience In racing was gained through his connection with a poolroom as telegraph operator. For the past ten years he has been connected with Chambers and Walker and was held in high esteem by these gentlemen. In recent years he has maintained a home in Covington, Ky.
