WEXFORD WINS HANDICAP AT FORT ERIE. Buffalo, N. Y., August 1. The feature of todays racing at Fort Erie was the handicap at one mile and a sixteenth, which was won by Wexford. It was Ills third victory out of four starts at this track. Peter Paul, carrying the least weight of the live that went to the post, attempted to make a runaway race of it and led until well in the stretch when Dealy, who had the mount on the Woolsthorpe gelding, released him from restraint and so far as the first money was concerned there never was any danger. Peter Paul was tiring fast and just lasted long enough to save second place from Bon Mot, which had been trailing .to the head of the stretch. Wade McLeniore has shipped the division of his stable which has been racing at Fort Erie to his " farm in Texas. MeLemore will rest up until the opening of the fall circuit in the Lone Star State.
