THE DONCASTER ANNUAL SALES. m A Son of La Fleche by Gallinule Fetches the Top Price. The annual sales of yearlings at Doncaster always draw nearly as much attention in English turf circles as does the racing of St. Leger week, and sensational prices are frequently attained. This big price of the sale tills year was 23,500, given by S. B. Joel for a brown colt by Gallinule, from the famous mare. La Fleche. B. Joel for the same sum. A bay colt by Ayrshire Pinda, a splendid youngster, went to R. S. Sevier, who owned and raced Sceptre, fr.r 10.000.
