Firmament had trouble in the early running and moved up resolutely through the stretch, but took a tired swerve in the last sixteenth, which cost him secon place Vansel was eased up when Trueman found him not good enough to take third money Ada O? WalkS ciosed a big gap from a slow beginning and can beat this kind when at her best. Merifield, on the out-wdfc all the way . ran fairly well and will improve. Moselle had scant chance with a poor send-off and bad riding Agnes Airginia reared up at the start and was away poorly. Belltoone quit badly after goiug a half. Cygnet can do much better. Mamie Gallagher, showiuc imnroved form, was a sharp factor most of the way and, finishing with a rush, outgamed Orlandot for second ulace Orlandot, away slowly and timidly ridden, closed a big gap in the stretch and can do much better. Esther Brown, away fast showed the most early speed and tired near the end as if short.
