Caper Sauce came to the outside when entering the homestretch and, taking the lead in the last furlcng. was well in hand at the finish. Ayr AVater carried Halfcaste along at a fast pace for the first half and drew away after entering the homestretch, but swerved across to the inside at the furlong post anil interfered with Halfcaste, for which she was disqualified. Halfcaste outbroke the others and was a game contender all the way and ran on the inside for the entire trip. Clean Sweep ran fairly well. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Green Dale broke slowly, but saved ground on the far turn, -where he slipped through next to the rail and finished fast. Saltrara, messed about all the waj-, was cut off soon after the start and crowded back, but came again. Revery tired as if short after showing early speed. Eleanor Fay ran well. Officer, well up all the way. bore over toward the inside rail at the end and crowded Perfcctor against the rail. The latter broke slowly, but finished with u rush. Steve Lane, outrun in the early stages, closed a big gap anil shook off Buckman in the last furlong. Buekman fenced well and held the others safe with superior speed for a mile and a half, but lost much ground by going out of the course nnd was tiring at the end. Avaunteer showed great speed for Jive furlongs and then tired, but finished resolutely. Rather Royal ran well and outstaved Charlie Eastman under punishment. The latter tired and ran below his true form. Grace Kimball "finished close up, as also did Wabash Queen, Lee Harrison II. ran a very bad race. Scratched 70925 Platoon, 107. Restoration seemed unable to raise a good gallop at any stage of the journey and his race was too bad to be true. The winner was entered for 400; no bid.
