OLD SHOT GUN TO BE RETIRED. New York, September 20. "Well, that settles it, I will never race the old fellow again," said Walter Jennings, when Shot Gun came outof Tuesdays fifth race bleeding badly. "Once or twice before I had determined to retire the horse, but didnt stick to it, and this season he has raced four or five times without bleeding. But he has been a good horse for me and I shall not race him any more. He will go to the farm in California when I ship my other horses, and I expect next season to breed him to a few mares."
