HORSES TO WINTER AT HYNES FARM. New York, November 2. A number of the smartest two-year-olds of the year will be entrusted for the winter to the hands of that veteran trainer,. John Ilynes, at his nursery farm near Stamford, Conn. W. B. Jennings, who for several years past has wintered some of his horses with Hynes, will winter the two fillies he left with T. Welsh upon his departure for California, Julia Powel and Miss Norfolk, at Stamford. Royal Vane, the Royal . Flush Flavane colt owned by John W. Gates, but raced in the name of C. E. Durnell, will also winter there. Royal Vane won both the Atlantic and Pansy Stakes, but fell lame in the Montauk Stakes at Brighton Beach July 24, in which he was an added starter and beatenja head by Fair Play and only started once since. Denny Sullivans little Greenan gelding. Rye, which was trained by Hyries after his return to New York from a health Peeking sojourn in the Adirondacks last summer, has been taken to the farm and will be rejuvenated by Hynes for an early spring campaign.
