At post 3 minutes. Start good. Won cantering; second and third driving. Kilter developed remarkable Sliced throughout, quickly overhauled the Hying pacemaker and drew out and won off by himself. Okenite began slowly and was shnflled to the rear, then steadily closed .a big gap In the last half. Lord Stanhope, generally messed about and outpaced early, moved up rapidly at the half and finished on the inside going fastest of all except the winner. Vestabella outbroke and outpaced the others to tiie last sixteenth, where she gave way finally after a very game effort. Reside, away poorly, finished gaining steadily. Star of Runnymede showed superior speed for six furlongs. The winner was entered for 00; no bid. Scratched 71C5SGeorge S. King Cobalt dashed into the lead at the start -and won all the way in decisive style and was particularly well served by the soft going. Berry Maid was in nearest pursuit of the winner throughout and finished a very game and fast going second. Spooner was outpaced and under pressure from the start, but finished gamely and probably was handicapped by the going. Whip Top, badly outrun in the early stages, closed up with an unexpected rush at the end. Red Bonnet, a very slow beginner and away badly, closed up slowly, but Meadlly. Bellwether, outclassed here, quit early. Jubilee Juggins finished well. Aunt Hose ran a bad raee. Scratched 71574 Rialto, 111. Mon-tort, away poorly, trailed far in the rear until in the iiual sixteenth, where he loomed up with a sensational end sprint, getting up in the last stride for second place. Gretna Green, after forward and game pursuit of the winner, tired finally, but ran a grand race. Ben Ban, messed about all the way, was weaving in and out through the long stretch, but finished a close fourth and going fast. Far West fell back at the half, but closed up steadily afterwards and is becoming good. Faust, prominent for a mile, tired finally. Nealon, out of place in short races, ran forwardly for a mile but, under pressure, finally tired, ran a splendid race and is in grand form. Scratched OSSlBlue Book, 115. Pretension ran in forward pursuit throughout and outstayed Quinn Brady for second place in a long drive. Quiun Brady ran in nearest and most strenuous attendance on the winner for seven furlongs and tired finally. St. Valentino, badly outrun for the first half, finished well. Hessian ran in surprisingly improved form, closed a big gap early and, finishing with a rush, got up in the last sixteenth and won going away. Bolando moved into the lead on the last turn and appeared the winner in the stretch, but tired when put to a drive by Hessian. Monocle made up ground steadily and was a fast going and game third. Zagg was a forward contender to the stretch, but tired in the final drive. Countermand closed a gap and finished well. Shadow Glance made up much ground and is promising.
