NEW ORLEANS STAKES TO CLOSE. In tills issue the names, values and conditions of the stakes to be run at the New Orleans nieet-ings of the coming winter are advertised. In all there is an array in combination of thirty-nine stakes witli an endowment of 1907.sh3,250 In added money and guaranteed values, "decidedly an attractive prospect to owners who contemplate a campaign of winter racing for their horses. The stakes are those heretofore run at City Park and the Fair Grounds, the innovations being that the stakes for two-year-olds do not have a separate time for closing as heretofore and that the Crescent City Derby and City Park Derby have .both been made 0,000 guaranteed races with identical conditions. In the big list of events offered there Is sufficient variety to provide well for all ages and classes bf horses. The date of closing entries to the City Park Jockey Chilis and Crescent City Jockey Clubs stakes is the same, Saturday, November 9, and owners who design racing at New Orleans have no time to waste in the matter of making entries. Attention is called to the adrertisament printed in todays advertising department.
