DEATH OF A FAMOUS IRISH SIRE. Ilackler, the sire of Hacklers Pride, and one of the best sires In Ireland, died October 22 at the Hartstown Stud Farm, Clonsllla, County Dublin, Hackler, owned by James Daly, was twenty years old, and Petrarch, out of the Cambridgeshire winner, Hackness. As a sire of fiat racers he earned much fame through his daughter, Hacklers Pride, heroine of the Cambridgeshire in two successive years, St. Brendan, Fllassler and others, and he also came in for much distinction as a sire of jumpers, among them Fauciful, Covert Hack, Duke of Wellington, Dodragh, Castle Knock, Hack-Watch and Conari.
